IPAF - International Powered Access Federation
Our IPAF Operator and Management Courses provide important theory and practical instruction. Candidate assessment follows instruction on how to safely operate, select and carry out pre-use inspection of our range of personnel lifts and other MEWPS (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms).
An IPAF certification is an internationally recognised qualification allowing the holder to use appropriate equipment such as Push Personnel Lifts, Scissor Lifts and Articulated Booms / Cherry PIckers.
Our class sizes are kept small for optimum delivery of training and course lengths vary depending on the number of categories you are being trained on and the experience of the trainee.
Following training there is a written and a practical test before being awarded accreditation and our pass rate 100%.
Over 90,000 operators are trained each year through a worldwide network of training centres.
Who should attend and what you can you expect?
IPAF Operator Courses are aimed at personnel who are already using or will be responsible for using a Mobile Vertical Personnel Lift, Scissor Lift or Mobile Articulated Boom (Cherry Picker) type MEWPs (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms).
You do not require previous training, although a working knowledge of MEWPs is an advantage.
One of our Access staff will guide you further as to course suitability upon application.
Following your course you will have an understanding of current relevant legislation and best practice on a range of MEWPs within the selected categories.
You will be able to carry out a pre-use inspection and able to use this safely, in accordance with current approved methods and manufacturer’s instructions.
